THEY ARE BEING WASTED

This work focuses on the issue of food waste, with still-life shots of 'delicious' food that actually
comes from the trash. The food waste looks quiet, gentle and bright, but is abandoned and
rotting. I try to revisit our way of life in a gentle and beautiful way. I can see a sense of class in
people's food consumption habits. Much of the food people waste is delicious and precious to
many economically disadvantaged lower and middle-class groups. But businesses are still over introducing ingredients and people are still over-consuming, continuing to generate a lot of food
waste. That's because people have constantly been driven by consumerism. But all of this has
become a “normal” way of life today. Therefore, I photograph these food wastes and use them
as a silent protest against this wrong way of life.
