WE ARE THE TIME
Living numb, lonely and dull in a foreign land, I had to feel the passage of time in silence, feeling emotions in
my memories. And later, when one thing after another came, I was amazed at how time seemed to speed up
and sometimes change in a flash. Unlike the regular movement of time on a clock, the time I felt was
changing at will according to my state of mind, it was malleable in my subjective world, created according to
my state of mind. So I started to photograph to record the details of my perception of time in my daily life, and post-production effects to try to show the shape of time and its changes in my mental world. The
images partly record the traces that allow me to perceive the length of time, partly focus on the perception
of time through the movement of things and spatial changes, partly present my state of mind when I
remember the past, and partly express my illusion of time, to explore more possibilities of the existence and
changes of subjective time.
